Lenny Nero (Ralph Fiennes) is a new-age drug dealer. He sells memories by “jacking in”- where someone records everything they saw, thought and felt during an event and you are able to experience it through an electrical device placed on the cerebral cortex. This technology is illegal, Lenny was fired from being a cop and lost his love, Faith Justin (Juliette Lewis), several years ago because of his involvement with the vice. Now his only friends are Mace Mason (Angela Bassett), a tough limo-driver who’s in love with Lenny, and a shaddy Private Detective, Max Peltier (Tom Sizemore). When Lenny stumbles into a police cover-up of a political murder, Lenny finds that people he trusts are stabbing him in the back and that everyone he cares about is in danger.
