Miles Harding (Lenny Von Dohlen) is an ambitious young San Fransisco architect who buys a personal computer to help him with a design project. He soon has the computer set up to perform a variety of household tasks, but things take a very unexpected turn after the computer overheats and he pours champagne on it. Suddenly his computer becomes sentient, capable of emotion, speech, and even writing music. Now the computer (voice of Bud Cort) has its own opinions about things, and it wants more from life than just doing Miles' bidding. Miles finds himself in a strange romantic triangle between himself, the computer and Madeline (Virginia Madsen), the beautiful cellist they both love. |
